The Allman Brothers Band At Fillmore East 2-LP - THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND (Capricorn SD 2-802)
Original 1971 U.S. stereo 2-LP set. And here's the release that made them stars. Legendary double live, w/ the staple "Statesboro Blues" opener, the side-long performances of "You Don't Love Me" & "Whipping Post," and so on - w/ DUANE & DICKEY in incendiary form, of course. This original pressing features the cover in near WOW condition (it's almost always found w/ mucho ring wear, long seam splits, and so on) - with NO ring wear to speak of & just 1 lite seam split on bottom; very nice indeed. And, the original PINK LABEL discs are also in very, very nice shape too, & sound WONDERFUL. One of the nicest copies of this winner that I've seen/had in ages. Includes original record company inner paper sleeves (w/ a lite 3" split in the middle of both + a lite 2" split in the middle of 1 side on both).
Discs = EX- to EX (glossy - just some lite hairlines; NO scuffing, NO scratches, NO distortion, NO groove wear; sounds FINE, w/ only a few very lite pops/ticks scattered; plays w/ level, lite background noise which is really only noticeable on the lead-in grooves, between tracks & in the quiet spots - a VERY GOOD listen, indeed)
Cover = see pix; very slight wear in corners; tiny chip in front upper right corner; 1 1/2" seam split from right corner in both bottom seams; very slight wear along spine edge; very SWEEEET looking cover all the way around; any questions?, please ask
Labels = see pix; A-OK, w/ NO spindle marks to be found
Buyers, please wait on sending payment until you have received my invoice. Ebay-generated invoices are often inaccurate. Invoice will be forwarded within 24-48 hours of auction close.
