Description
CLIFF RICHARD with THE SHADOWS
"CHOPPIN' 'n' CHANGIN'"
ONE SIDED 10" EMIDISC ACETATE
(Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch, Jet Harris and Tony Meehan)
Composed by Ian Samwell, this 1959 MONO take is certainly faster than the STEREO cut that was eventually used.
Hank's solo is somewhat erratic and several lead guitar 'figures' are different from the 1960 stereo cut.
The acetate has XLV (45 rpm) CLIFF RICHARD 'Choppin n Changin' hand written in faded pink crayon across the EMIdisc label area

Although surface looks poor the audio condition is very good and the listening experience will not be marred by the traditional light clicks.
The outer brown paper sleeve depicts someone, (presumably from the studio), hand written in blue ink 'Mr. Scheroe (d) or (r) in the top right area. This should read 'Schroeder' as in John Schroeder who worked in EMI studios.
The sleeve has a couple of tears from the centre but not detrimental to the acetate itself.
