Essential strata east set from Clifford Jordan recorded on one stormy Monday in 1973 (it was a good day).

Clifford Jordan is at the height of his tenor powers, and he's joined by Stanley Cowell on piano, Bill Lee (spike's dad) on bass, and Billy Higgins on drums. Higgins is amazing, and gives the set a sort of lyrical freeplay that makes Jordan's hard solos come alive in a magical way. Cedar Walton adds his piano to some of the tracks, and plays with a warmth and imagination that surpass most of his recordings from this point. Every cut's a winner, and the set list includes "John Coltrane", eddie harris, "Biskit" etc..
