Description

This is a SUPER RARE LATE 1950s VULCO RECORDS 45 containing the tunes 'Anymore' / 'Give Me The Simple Life' from Florida R&B singer Clyde Williams with the Charlie Snyder Quartet.  It is Vulco Records record number 3, dating from sometime between 1955 and 1958.  Record comes packaged in a plain white paper sleeve.
This appears to be a SUPER RARE R&B RECORD which I can't find any trace of anyplace on the internet - There is no 45cat listing for it, no Discogs listing, and no prior Popsike sales.  A Google search for information on Clyde Williams or this 45 turns up absolutely nothing.  Vulco Records was based in Fort Pierce Florida and is best known for the rockabilly singles by Billy Eldridge and Pat Richmond the label issued in 1958 and 1959.  When you play the record you hear that Clyde Williams is obviously a black mellow R&B singer in the Johnny Ace mold - The tune 'Anymore' is a very faithful Johnny Ace cover, and the tune 'Give Me The Simple Life' is a swinging mid-tempo tune that was first done by Bing Crosby and Benny Goodman in 1945 and was heard in the soundtrack of the movie 'Wake Up And Dream' in 1946.  Accompaniment is sparse, with audible piano, bass, sax, and drums.  This may be the only copy out there of this very obscure and very rare 1950s R&B 45!  Please message me for any other information you might need.

Condition of record grades in the VG+ range with a few light non-feelable surface marks that have no effect on play.  The B-side play surface only has a few round bumps which are an anomaly in the pressing which I believe resulted during manufacture - Some of these cause a low background bumping sound in places that does not come close to overtaking the music, no skips.  Labels have light stains and some contact wear as can be seen in my accompanying images.
The buyer of this 45 will have a piece that will be among the rarest if not the rarest in their 1950s vintage R&B record collection!
$5.50 SHIPPING via USPS Media Mail.  I will insure the package for full value at my expense.  Shipping to areas outside the U.S. via eBay international shipping.   BUYER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE! I will give an immediate refund (less shipping) upon return of the 45 in the above stated condition if buyer is dissatisfied for any reason.
