A friend of mine learned that I was selling records here and asked if I would be kind enough to list some of his.  I told him I would be happy to, but only if he wrote the description for, and graded, each one according to the grading scale I use(see below). He agreed, and what follows is exactly that.

"Anytime I bought a new album, the first thing I did after removing the shrink wrap was put it in a new outer plastic protector cover. Then I would remove the inner sleeve, remove the record from that and put it in a new anti-stat inner sleeve, then put them both back in the cover.  The result of my doing this were covers and inner sleeves that remained in the condition they were in when they were opened. 
When playing, I unfortunately did not own a zero stat gun, and without one, I was taught not to clean the records because the the friction from doing so attracts more dust to the vinyl than you end up removing with the cleaning. Whether this is actually true or not I don't know. But it sounded logical to me. So what I chose to do instead was to lighten the weight of the stylus on my turntable as much as possible, hoping that the combination of the anti-stat inner sleeve and the lightened stylus weight would prevent any dust from being imbedded into the vinyl when played, resulting in no damage to the records and therefore no degradation in the sound quality. It seemed to be successful as I have never heard a single pop or crackle when playing an album. I also always handled my albums in the opened handed fashion by the edges and labels.
Because of the care I used in the handling and playing of my albums, I can honestly say they are in as good a condition as they can be and to my ears sound as good as when they were first opened."

GRADING SCALE
I like the grading scale of Funkyousounds and use one based on that which is as follows:
    VINYL
     MINT  Only for albums that have never been opened-still in original shrink
     NM (Near Mint)    Like New, opened, and maybe played once or twice
     VG++    A record that has a few visual imperfections that will not affect the sound.
     VG+    A few more surface marks than a VG++. The record has been well taken care of and should play with very few audible imperfections.
     VG    The record will display light surface scuffs and marks. Expect some light surface noise in parts or a few clicks or pops here and there.
     VG-    The record may have some deeper audible and visual scratches. There will be some clicks and pops more consistently than that of a VG record but will play without skipping.
     G    The record may have some deeper audible scratches. There will be some clicks and pops more consistently than that of a VG record but will play without skipping.
     Poor    Records with this grade should be considered unplayable.
