COIL - "Gold Is The Metal" signed by Balance and Christopherson!!!

Unique. Personalised message from John Balance.


 This is a unique piece of musical history. A rare album made unique by a personalised signing by John (Jhonn) Balance  and Peter Christopherson.
The message is typical Balance:"With complicated consequences - Love - John Balance and Coil - May 89-er."
There is no message from Christopherson (just a signature).
This record was obtained from Memory Lane music shop (Northampton) in 1993.  I was told by the then owner that the signatures were absolutely genuine (I have since checked and they are) - however, the "To Barney" was added by the recipient.
Sadly both Christopherson and Balance have now passed away. I suspect anyone bidding on this will be well aware of who they were and what they did - but here is Balance and Christopherson's respective Guardian obituaries:-

The album is in excellent condition. Graded VG+ (obvious signs of play v.light surface scratches in places) and the sleeve is VG+ (very slight damage top edge). It's spent most of its life in a plastic cover.
The cut on the inner ring on side 1 says: Me And My Shadow the cut on the inner ring on side 2 says: Underneath All That Every Was
