Description

The record you are considering is a RARE ORIGINAL US LP of COLEMAN HAWKINS, titled “WRAPPED TIGHT”, from 1966.

LABEL- IMPULSE Records, A-87, Stereo.

CONDITION-

GATEFOLD COVER is a Nice VG++!, Worst is the seam corners, others have a touch. Bottom edge front flap has a 5/16in. nick in paper. Just a touch of ring ware. Edges and corners are strong!.

VINYL is a Very Nice VG++!!. Probably only played a couple of times, NO spindle marks. Has a very slight dish to it. No surface noise! Beginning of side-2 has a tiny group of spots(factory), as the piano starts makes a sound for two revolutions. Also third song has a faint repeater. Has a GREAT SOUND!. “VAN GELDER” in dead wax.

ORIGINAL IMPULSE sleeve has a 3/4in. split middle of bottom.


Most records are visually graded, can be play tested if requested.


Most all of the JAZZ records I’m listing as of late are from one collection. He recorded everything to reel to reel, so I’m guessing most were only played once. A large percentage he never got around to even opening.
