ANOTHER SLICE of impressive period progressive jazz rock from the giants of that scene. The riffs are super heavy, very tight and the playing is beyond impressive - totally mindblowing actually. Contains wonderfully arranged long tracks that take you on a journey to the sort of places that you never quite come back from.

This was Colosseum's second album for the newly inaugerated Vertigo progressive rock label who set a standard with this act that was tough to top yet brilliantly placed to capitalise on the burgeoning interest in jazz rock.

Clearly the band meant business as all the tracks harness a degree of intensity but tracks like 'Time Lament', 'Downhill And Shadows' and side two's colossal 'The Time Machine' (recorded live) are prog nirvana itself. In all cases the riffs and themes kick hard and take no prisoners. Special mention also must go to their version of Mountain's 'Theme For An Imaginary Western' which is at once both sublime and crushing!

Like their debut Vertigo album this is one of the greatest prog rock albums of all time. Don't miss out.

Vinyl: Nice clean and shiny condition. A few spindle marks on the label but practically no signs of use. Grades as MINT-!

Cover: Again virtually no signs of use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated gatefold cover that many collectors will know is very prone to wear due mainly to its 'foil' effect gold finish. This one is in really great shape - in fact my keeper copy is in exactly the same nice shape. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff, straight and totally uncrushed. Vertical sellotape residue on rear ouside and inside panel running full length - almost invisible because the light brown stain is the same colour as the album cover. Grades as a top Ex+

I very rarely list records that are in any way scratched- they go in the trash- and I will only list a scratched record if scarcity dictates otherwise but with full disclosure. Often vinyl display 'scuffs' which are surface marks (mostly caused by sliding in and out of the inner sleeve or careless handling) but NOT scratches and they do not have any effect on playback. If the vinyl has a scuff I will try and mention it. Even my Vg+ records are way better than most gradings on ebay- check my feedback for vindication.Gradings are cover/vinyl.
