Description
Formed in 1968, COLOSSEUM were a progressive British rock band. They disbanded in 1971 (reforming in the mid-1990's), during which time they recorded only 3 UK studio albums, this being the second (and last) on VERTIGO. Released in 1970, the album features Chris Farlowe's vocals on 5 tracks. This superb copy carries FIRST PRESS matrices and stampers on the B side and the inner swirl sleeve has the correct date (10/70).
VERTIGO Catalogue Number: 6360 017
MATRICES and STAMPERS: 6360017 1Y//3 420 1 1 3 and 6360017 2Y//1 420 1 1 1
The unlaminated gatefold cover is in great condition for its age, having no more than light edge scuffing and a small scuff mark on the front (Ex). The poly-lined inner swirl sleeve is sound and crisp, with some age discolouring (Ex). The vinyl has a lovely sheen, no discernible marks and both sides play like a dream (M-). The labels are very clean and have only a couple of very light spindle marks on each side (Ex+). The spindle hole shows no wear and my guess is that this vinyl has been played very little.
My overall grading for this item is Ex+. However, should it not meet expectation I will accept its return and make refund of the amount paid, less postage.
I accept payment by cheque (UK only), PayPal, or cash if collected in person.
PLEASE NOTE: For countries other than Europe airmail cost could be as high as £7.50 (please await invoice before paying).
The record and cover will be well protected and despatched in a record mailer, with at least one stiffener.
Payment within 24 hours of the auction finishing please, otherwise contact me to advise when payment can be expected.
