ARTIST : Nathan Milstein (violin) with Erich Leinsdorf conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra
TITLE: Beethoven Violin Concerto in D, Op.61
LABEL : SAX 2508, on the highly collectable silver/blue Columbia label. Columbia changed it's label design around SAX 2500. This is one of the few LPs issued later in the series to use the earlier label design.

SIDE 1: S1 35783-B8 1 R
SIDE 2: S2 35783-A5 1 R
COUNTRY: Made in Gt. Britain
CONDITION
VINYL: The record is in great condition. It does have a few marks on it, but sounds brilliant, this may be improved further with a professional clean. The marks themselves are long sweeping lines, that appear to be from the needle sliding across the grooves, and is feint. I have tried to photo them but was not able to, but i can try again if requested.
SIDE 1: 3x light "ticks" in a quite section half way through the side, these had not intruded onto the listening experience for me.
SIDE 2: 2 separate "ticks" that sounded more like static or dust, than those caused from a mark, but I may be wrong.
LABELS: Both vey clean, with only 2 or 3 very feint spider marks.
SLEEVE: As you can see from the photos the sleeve is in amazing condition. It's only minus points are a slight creasing to the laminate near the opening edge, and a small sticker in the front top right corner (see photo), this could probably be removed quite simply. It also comes with the original EMI Emitex inner sleeve.
This has been one of the jewels in my classical collection for some time now. Unfortunately the time has come to part with it. All I hope is that it will go to a good home.
I have been as honest as possible with my description. Anyone looking at this will know what it's worth, so I have given it a 99p start price with no reserve, I don't think it will need one!
