Description

"Christmas Command Performance 1944" Radio Show Transcription Discs.   One Complete radio program on these Five 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm discs.  These discs were issued to radio stations for broadcast to U. S. Troops only and not available to the general public, very rare!

These five (5) discs contain the complete approximately 2 hour and 8 minute broadcast.  Program was for broadcast on December 25, 1944

Program stars Bob Hope, Spike Jones & The City Slickers, Dinah Shore, W. C. Fields, Judy Garland, Xavier Cugat, Jerry Colonna, Jack Benny, Fred Allen, Frank Nelson, Spencer Tracy, Kay Kyser, Frances Langford, Dorothy Lamour, Johnny Mercer, Danny Kaye, Henry L. Stimson (Secretary of War), James Forrestal (Secretary of The Navy).  The AFRS Orchestra is directed by Major Meredith Willson
