Description
A great opportunity to buy a RARE VINYL LP from the 1970s by Comus called "First Utterance".
This is a U.K. pressing released in 1971 on the Dawn label (DNLS 3019)(stereo) and has 7 tracks (see photos for track listings).
The matrix numbers in the dead wax are:- DNLS 3019A-3 T (side one) and DNLS 3019B-3 T (side two).
The vinyl is in a clean and shiny VERY GOOD condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and there are many light surface marks evident, but nothing serious.
I have played the whole of both sides and apart from the odd click, they both play fine and sound great.
Overall, I feel the vinyl warrants a grading of VERY GOOD condition.
The labels are clean and free from any writing, stickers or major defects. There are a few faint spindle marks on the labels, when tilted to the light.
The record is flat and has no warps of any description.
The record is housed within its original plain white inner sleeve in a VERY GOOD condition considering its age.
ALSO INCLUDED is the RARE LYRIC SHEET INSERT, in a Good condition, with some minor creasing in places.
The non-laminated gatefold picture cover is in a VERY GOOD condition.The edges and spine have some light shelf wear, but the printing on the spine is still readable (see photos). There is some minimal wear at the corners and some light wear along the opening edge. The inside of the gatefold is clean and unmarked.
The album is very highly rated as a collectable example of early 70s Folk-Rock / Psychedelic-Rock and should be of interest to avid collectors.
