Congos - Heart Of The Congos - JA Black Art LP. The UPSETTER, LEE PERRY Genuine First Jamaican Issue on Black Art, 1977. Original Jamaican issue. Record is in VG+++ condition -- would list as Near Mint but for some very minor scuffs -- visually graded looks amazing! Cover condition is VG+ with Original hand painted yellow streaks, some ring-wear is present and visible as well as original printing marks and irregularities overall. Mythical first press mix with hand painted yellow lines rumoured to have been done by Perry and the Congos themselves. The story is that Lee Perry didn't like the blue lines down the side and wanted them green - so he painted them over with yellow paint! Apart from that extremely rare sleeve, this is the genuine first pressing and it's one of the best we've ever seen in this condition. This is a KILLER COPY so don't sleep on this!!
