Description
Conrad Schnitzler has been an institution in the German electronic music scene for thirty years. He studied with Joseph Beuys in the mid 1960’s, and in the late sixties joined the then fledgling German rock band Tangerine Dream. He added a bizarre, conceptual approach to Tangerine Dream that catapulted the band to legendary status, documented on the bands first album “Electronic Meditation”. Schnitzler left after that first album, forming with his friends Moebius and Roedelius the band Kluster. Kluster recorded and released three albums before Schnitzler again left, this time to pursue his own work under his own name.
This rare album (only 500 copies of the LP were originally issued in 1974) has been reissued on in 2002. "Blau" (Blue) is the second solo effort from krautrock electronics pioneer Conrad Schnitzler, following his amazing debut "Rot" (Red) and his late sixties work with Tangerine Dream (on their freaked-out debut "Electronic Meditation") and with Moebius and Roedelius in the original Kluster. This is moody, dark, rhythmical proto-electronica somewhere between Morton Subotnick and today's Ovals and the like. Burbling tones meet spiralling buzz-drones and flickering, glitch-like bleeps in hypnotically building patterns.

Please do not take my bad 92% feedback rating into account ! I have sold hundreds of items on ebay without a problem but unfortunately I sold cycling magazines to some unscrupulous Frenchman last year and he left me 13 negative feedbacks for the 13 mags I'd sold him only 10 days after winning them ! He received them the day after but didn't bother asking ebay to cancel them and I tried hard to get rid of them but ebay never answered to any of my mails...
