Description

OK. I've never seen or even heard of anybody who has another one of these. I’m going to list as much information as I can in this auction and post a whole bunch of pictures. This is surely the crowning jewel of my collection, but I’ve slowly gotten out of record collecting in the last few years so I’m selling a lot of stuff that would be more cared for in someone else’s hands. If you have any questions at all or want to see different pictures, don’t hesitate to contact me.

ABOUT THE TAPE:
It's a cassette tape that they sent out to have produced (not a home-dub). It has a sticker on one side with a graffiti-style "xconvergex: boston straight edge hardcore" logo, and the song titles and the number 21/100 hand-written on the other. The songs are: Sky, Down, Exhale, Zodiac and Divinity.

The cover is a photocopy of what looks to be a dog with reindeer antlers tied to its head or something. Its on normal white paper. The text on the inside is very hard to read because there’s some kind of image behind the text and it’s not a very high quality photocopy. It does not have a date or recording studio listed, but I’m guessing it’s from around 1993. The contact information is to Kurt Ballou and it lists an area code 617 (Boston) phone number and two addresses: one in Boston and one at (I’m assuming) his parents’ house.

How I got it
I got this tape in a trade about 7 years ago with a kid from the Merrimack Valley, which is where Converge and many other bands (Piebald, Cave-In, Bane, etc) are from. The kid had a very good collection of older releases from bands from that area. I also got a Piebald demo and the “Boston Is Burning” 7" comp (from 1994. feat. Converge, Dive, Daltonic and Opposition) in the same trade.

Condition
I played this exactly one time to make a copy of it, and it sounded fine. The case is a little cracked at the hinge and comes apart easily when you open it. The tape itself is in excellent condition. It’s a white cassette with white sticker labels on each side, which have not yellowed very much considering this is 14 or 15 years old. The labels aren’t peeling and are still well-attached.

Please contact me with ANY questions you have about this and I will answer them the best I can and post all of my responses on this auction page.

Payment and Shipping Info
Payment must be made within 48 hours. - Short extensions can be made for US bidders with sufficient ebay feedback only if I give you the OK before the auction ends.
For US bidders, I will pay shipping, insurance and delivery confirmation. I will only accept paypal or US Postal money orders.

For international buyers: I will only accept paypal payments. Please contact me about shipping prices. Delivery confirmation is mandatory for all international bidders, and I would suggest insurance as well – both at your expense.

IMPORTANT!!!! SERIOUS BIDS ONLY!
I’m pretty nervous about listing this. I have no idea what the final amount will be on this auction. I have seen some auctions (Judge “Chung King…” LP for example) turn into big jokes where people bid ridiculous amounts of money with no intent to actually buy the thing, and then the auction had to be taken down. I’m hoping I’m just making a bigger deal out of this than it actually is. Please only bid on this if you are willing to pay.
