COSMIC SOUND OF GANDHARVA:

Energy(sadhu records USA 1977)

a.k.a.Gandharva...

An amazing private press album from 1977

of cosmic trance/meditation folk that was

listed in Pokora's "3001 Record Collector
Dream" book.

A cosmic trance/meditation folk gem from

California with moody echoey soundscape,

a slightly eerie vibe rather than starry-

eyed peace & love ramblings, nice acoustic

guitars,deep vocals, semi-improvised jammy

songs with some crude sound experiments...

Try to imagine Acid Symphony 10 years

down the line meeting a messed-up trance

psych and ranting like Ya Ho Wa 13.

Loaded with eastern spirituality...brief

spoken bit featuring a phony-sounding Indian guru...

Mostly performed by Gandharva on an

acoustic guitar which he uses to draw up

"chords,rhythms, overtones, melodies,

drum and percussion sounds" to match

his vocals.
He is accompanied by the band Eternity

on occasional bracelettes, bells and bean

pod as well as the cosmic violin of Gelon.

2 stars rarity in Hans Pokora book !!
