The record that earned Count Basie a Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental Performance in this auction. 10 classic Big Band gems from the one and only Basie and his magical band. Some of them include Wind Machine, Blues for Stephanie, Splanky & Basie all appear on this must own live effort from Count Basie. All fans of the man or the genre need this classic in their collection, it's an essential!!
Ok, the loosely wrapped or sealed explanation: For whatever reason this album does not have a sealed tight wrap but rather a seal that is loosely applied (see picture). Also, full disclosure, there is, in the upper right corner, a break in the seal, approx. 2".
