Description

This is a fine copy from a rare 1981 U.S. stereo reissue on the Double Shot label of the sole LP by mid-'60s American garage/freakbeat group the Count Five, originally released in 1966.  The group were from San Jose, California, just south of the Bay Area, and scored a top five hit with their debut single, "Psychotic Reaction," which basically combined the manic ending to the Yardbirds' "I'm a Man" with a new melody and lyrics, and threw in some phasing to evoke the psychosis -- a period classic.  Nor is it the only attraction on their LP, which contains nine original compositions, all written or co-written by Dublin-born lead guitarist Sean Byrne, along with covers of two songs by the Who.  The jacket is in fine condition with creasing and wear in one corner and light staining on and rippling in the back cover slick -- see photos (EX).  The disc is clean with a little light scuffing, and plays close to M- with a little light surface noise (EX+).

I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.

If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
