Description

COUNT & THE COLONY-45-“Can’t You See” b/w “That’s The Way (It’s Got To Be)”-Pa-Go-Go Records #PAG-121-MONSTER & KILLER 1966 Saginaw MICHIGAN Garage-Punk. I know-the label is out of San Antonio TEXAS—but the band is from Michigan—on same label as the pre-Cameo Records ? & The Mysterians … Most of you know the KILLER A side from assorted comps—if not, savage & loud, structure based on a Motown rhythm (“Mickey’s Monkey”), crossed with Mitch Ryder & The Detriot Wheels’ “Little Latin Lupe Lu” and “Jenny Take A Ride”-lead singer sounds similar to Mitch … also reminds me of the revved up 45’s by Mr. Lucky & The Gamblers—Guitar-heavy/Vox organ combination—dynamite lead guitar break-double-time Yardbirds-style rave-up-ULTRA stuff. B side is an R&B based
Condition: Record is a solid VG+ or better; NOTE: has a small almost but not quite ½ -inch hairline crack on outer deadwax-it is less than 2/10ths of an inch into-hardly touches the grooves-plays great-can not really hear this at all; also 2 very small fractures next to the small crack—not even cracks-the small ones a re like 1/10th inch fractures--some light background noise evident on opening, but quite minimal, totally covered by LOUD content.
Label clean both sides.
