One of the earliest expressions of psychedelic rock ever (some say THE earliest) -- Country Joe and the Fish and their first recordings from 1966, the legendary Rag Baby EP, released on a small independent label in Berkeley, and very rare today. Fascinating to hear the protest/folk-rock sound of the mid-60s take on this cosmic, "eastern" jammy quality, with brilliant and underappreciated genius guitarist Barry Melton taking what many claim is the first extended guitar solo in rock history. This is an incredible record, and a wonderful piece of 60s rock history.
This copy is in especially great condition. These records are usually quite worn, but this one is just beautiful. The disc has a visible scuff on side one, but it makes no sound at all. Both sides play NM and sound just incredible. The cover has some minor shelfwear but it is really overall one of the best I have seen. The seams are all intact, and there are no dogears or writing or rips or dramatic ringwear. The bottom seam has a very small beginning of a split at the point where the record edge meets the cardboard, right in the center. The other seams are flawless. Really this is a remarkably good copy, hard to beat. Beautiful.
