Country Joe & The Fish - Acetate 45
"Not So Sweet Martha Lorraine" b/w "The Masked Marauder"
This ultra-rare acetate test pressing contains an apparently unused mix. The B-Side ("The Masked Marauder") is labeled "WRONG MIX - DO NOT USE". It's a Vanguard Records item that was pressed at the RCA Custom Records plant.
Country Joe & The Fish were one of the bigger bands of the 1960s. The were regulars at the Fillmore and they played Woodstock. This acetate is a remarkable piece of 1960s Psychedelic Rock history.
The Acetate has a minute piece of the underlying metal disc showing through the black, as you can see in the photo. Other than that it's in fantastic shape. Because it contains an unheard mix, this record is sold AS IS. No returns will be accepted. I wouldn't want somebody to make a copy of the wrong mix and then try to return it. Sorry!
