Description

Various Artists, 'Creation Rockers Volumes 1-6. Trojan original release TRLS 180-6 (1979). Six vinyl LPs.

Tracks from 1965 to 1979 from Trojan's back catalogue. Producers include Coxsone Dodd, Duke Reid, Bunny Lee, Lee Perry, Niney, Joe Gibbs.

Condition: sleeves excellent, some creasing to vol.6; vol. 1 has small repaired split in top (3 cms). Some age mottling on back of 5 sleeves. Vinyl & labels excellent. All have been played recently with no problems. Personal copies, lightly played.

All volumes have 12 tracks each. Artists include Derrick Harriot, U. Roy, Big Youth, Gregory Isaacs, A. Pablo, Dennis Brown, Wailing Souls, Bob & Horace Andy, I. Roy, Slim Smith, Sugar Minott.

Highlights include 'I've Got Soul' (Carlton & Shoes), 'Cold I Up' (Johnny Clarke), 'Mr Fire Coal Man' (Wailing Souls), 'Love is a Treasure' (Freddy McKay) 'Man in the Street' (Don Drummond), 'Caution' (The Wailers); but virtually every track is a highlight in some way. A classic collection.
