CRESSIDA
'CRESSIDA'
UK Original LP on VERTIGO RECORDS VO 7 from 1970 in STEREO
Yes, this is indeed the original, the Philips pressing
1970 UK Vertigo 1st issue on the 1st Press 'Large' Vertigo 'Spiral' label. Wonderful playing, brilliantly balanced harmonies along with the sullen lead vocal which evokes a bluesy feel throughout. The keyboards are astounding on this recording, and both acoustic and electric guitar-work is sensitive and there's no egotism with any instrument fighting for attention here!! Apart from the already highly collectible lable - this is excellent, whereas some of this lable's albums are rare for other reasons! (and I've had Doctor Z 'Three Parts To My Soul' on this lable which is a good example!).
THIS though, is music for the connoisseur, every note for savouring.
This record had no right to be overlooked by the record-buying public really.
The music is lovely for 'getting into', as the more you hear it - the more you'll realise the fine sounds and
how excellent the compositions are here.
DON'T deprive yourself of owning one of the best progressive British psych LPs issued, and ESPECIALLY not overlook a rare chance to have this is wonderful playing condition!!!!

The BLACK AND WHITE 'SPIRAL' lables are NM, very nice and clean.
