Matrix : 588189 A//2 - B//2 Issue : UK 1st Press A2/B2 Mispress Sleeve
This is the UK 1st press of the 1969 debut album by Crosby, Stills & Nash. This genuine 1st press is complete with the earliest A2//B2 matrix and heavy flat edge vinyl. The labels are plum and orange and have the 'Under Licence' text above the white strip. It is also has the 1st press matt gatefold Ernest J Day sleeve, however the inside has been stuck upside down. The LP is also complete with the original poster lyric insert.
The record in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl has a superb gloss, there is no whitening, but there are a number of very light marks on both sides. The label is exceptionally clean, the colours are vivid and the white is extremely bright. The black text is sharp and there is only the slightest spindle wear.
When played the heavy earliest press vinyl has a rich, warm original sound. There is slight noise in the quiet moments, however no marks cause any significant noise and certainly NO skips or jumps. It is still extremely clear and complete, it can still be enjoyed from start to finish.
The Atlantic Super gatefold sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The edges and corners are firm and the text is sharp, there is just a little light wear. The colours are warm, the highlights are bright and the black is bold. The spine is still firm with just a little light wear. The inside was stuck upside down when pressed, it is extremely clean and bright.
