This album achieves new heights, sonically. Combine the mix of its own Quiex SV-P vinyl recipe, its decision to utilize 200gm vinyl and, this is the killer, to produce this single album on four, single-sided discs running at 45rpm, and you have one hell of a package. Now, there is a complete lack of surface noise and, because the grooves can be cut deeper, a greater degree of dynamics. Running at 45 also improves the sound quality – there’s more presence in the midrange, a wider stage presence and an overall larger sound. In short, this is the best version of this album, at any time, on any format, bar none. This is the ultimate pressing of this album on vinyl.
