RARE ORIGINAL U.K. GATEFOLD DOUBLE VINYL!

A rare opportunity to bid for this original U.K. gatefold double vinyl pressing of Crowded House's

'Recurring Dream The Very Best Of...'! Bought new from HMV, Croydon, U.K., at the time of release,

it has just been carefully stored, unplayed, ever since!

Sleeve: Thick gatefold card with the front cover showing an abstract image of a blue male figure, appearing from what looks

like a red car, with a white, blue and green shirt hanging off his back. A pink fan is in the foreground, with the band name in

primitive gold capitals, top-right, with a decorated, ear-like symbol (folk art?) to the right. The words, 'The Very Best Of' are in

gold, just above the band's name, with 'RECURRING DREAM' on colourful Scrabble tiles against a gold background. An 81mm

x 32mm red sticker under the tiles reads, as follows:

'The Very Best Of Crowded House

Includes the hit singles

'Weather With You',

'Don't Dream It's Over' and 'Instinct'

The inner-left face has a colour photo of the band, with their instruments, in relaxed indoor surroundings. Underneath is a gold strip which

contains a key to the band personnel in the photo and their associated instruments. The opposite face shows another colour photo of the

band, but now relaxing outside. The gold strip below contains recording credits, thanks, contact information, etc., as well as some folk art.

The back cover is divided in two, horizontally, with the bottom section taken up with a colour photo of the band in a rowing boat, against a

spectacular sunset! The top half is light blue, with pale blue folk art symbols. Track listing is printed in gold, with disc and side numbers in

red. The barcode (7 24383 83961 2) is top-right, with the catalogue numbers above and below it. The sleeve is in spectacular, original,

as-new condition! There are no bumps, tears, repairs, notations or signs of wear! Absolutely awesome!

Inner Sleeves: Two, colour picture bags. One is red backed with blue, both sides having examples of the folk art. The red side has notes

from Peter Paphides, with the blue face having small colour photos of four Crowded House album covers, with the titles in white text

underneath. The other bag has one side filled with a montage of colour photos of the band, backed with full track listing and song credits,

against a red background. The picture bags, like the outer sleeve, are in superb, unmarked and undamaged condition!

splits and some vinyl swarf round the hole on Disc One Side 1, and what looks like a short vinyl

smear on Side 2!

This is just one item from my own extensive and eclectic personal collection of music and related bits and pieces which I will be listing over the next few months, or so.
