You are bidding for a CLASSIC US 50'S ROCK 'N' ROLL / DOOWOP 78 RPM single by THE CROWS called GEE backed with I LOVE YOU SO issued on the QUALITY record label in CANADA in 1953, cat number 1278 (RED AND CREAM LABEL). The record is in excellent condition with excellent labels .The record has little wear with few slight scuffs and surface scratches and plays with no jumps and clicks and a minimum of surface noise. CLASSIC US ROCK AND ROLL / DOOWOP from THE CROWS with two ROCKING DOOWOP tracks from a CLASSIC DOO WOP harmonising group . The CROWS were among the most important of the one shot hit wonders of rock and roll's history. Discovered at New York's Apollo Theatre in 1952, the CROWS were pioneering doowop with their infectious, cheerful harmonies, use of nonsense syllables, and jump blues backing. GEE with its irresistable melody, enthusiastic street corner singing,hand Charlie Christian like guitar solo, was far and away their biggest hit. tRARE in decent condition, from my own collection.
