CRYPT OF KERBEROS "MCMXCI-MCMXCIII"
LP 1, the crown jewel of this set. For the first time ever on vinyl, the debut masterpiece from Sweden's CRYPT OF KERBEROS, World of Myths LP. The label standard is to always use the original cover art whenever possible. Since the original cover art was so substandard and forgettable, they as well as the band felt in this case, an exception could be made. In keeping with theme with the album, they've licensed probably the most amazing illustration from the Cthulhu Mythos entitled "The Call of Chtulhu", illustrated by renowned artist and special effects wizard Tom Sullivan, best known for artwork and design for the "Book of the Dead" from "The Evil Dead Trilogy" as well as being an illustrator for Chaosium Inc. This amazing painting is printed on a 350 gram sturdy, semi-gloss gatefold jacket, with inner illustrations by the equally amazing Ian Miller (Bolt Thrower - Realm of Chaos, Warhammer, Games Workshop) For the first time ever for this release, complete lyrics are included. Limited to 300 on 180 gram sweet looking transparent red / purple haze vinyl.
Included is a luxurious 24" x 36" (60.96 cm x 91.44 cm) poster of the Tom Sullivan cover artwork, and a 2 sided insert with classic band photos, band bio and new liner notes by Mattias Borgh.
New for the vinyl treatment, LP 2 includes both cult demos and LP 3 includes both EPs, 2 rehearsal tracks as well as 2 completely unreleased tracks from 1991.
Both LPs come in a 350 gram sturdy, semi-gloss printed gatefold jacket, complete with the original classic cover illustrations, band photos and cult interviews.
Both gatefolds come housed in an amazing, heavy gauge red-foil stamped box featuring cover artwork from Ian Miller on the box lid.
