Description
This is the 1st pressing of debut 12" from Florida-by-way-of Brooklyn shoegaze/moperock/reverb mavens Crystal Stilts. Not to be confused with the re-issue that came out on Woodsist in 2008 (which is also out of print) this is the original 4-track e.p. released on Feathery Tongue in 2006. Limited to 500 copies, this record is hard to find and will just get harder as the band keeps growing. Most copies of this record had a red sleeve, but this is from a batch printed (photocopied) on grey cardstock. Not sure how many were made of this grey variety, but I know it's from the same pressing, as there was only one. I've only ever seen grey ones Manhattan, so maybe it was a New York only edition. Comes complete with hand-stamped inner labels. Four early songs including the killer "Crippled Croon", "The Sinking", "Converging In The Quiet" and "Bright Night Nursery". A really stunning debut from a band that was destined to rise, a must have for anyone interested in the Stilts, Blank Dogs, Waaavvvves or the entire bedroom-recording movement. Get it while you can!!
The sleeve and vinyl fall just short of near mint condition. The fold-over photocopied sleeve and the vinyl are in perfect, almost unplayed shape. I am the only owner and the recor has been stored very carefully. Overall, the record is in amazing shape.
Domestic shipping via Priority Mail is $8.00. This usually takes 2-3 days. If you wanted Media Mail instead, it would be $4.00 and take a little longer. International Air Mail shipping would be $15.00 for and generally takes 4-7 days. The record will be packed carefully in a sturdy cardboard mailer, created just for the purpose of sending records undamaged through the mail. If you had any other shipping concerns, delivery confirmation, insurance, etc. I could work with that, too, but I cannot insure international shipping at all. Too risky and no real way to track it. Sorry guys. I will for sure ship anywhere in the world, but I can't be held responsible if the mail loses it or delays it.
