Culture Club Boytalk No1-19, Full collection, exclusive for paid fan club members only.
Posted out to members of "MULTICUTURAL" between March 1984 and December 1989. These flexi-discs were sent out with badges stickers, sometimes even signed pictures (look out for some of my other listings). The Boytalk discs themselves contain, largely, just that... Boy George talking. He shares details of being out on tour and recordings and occasionally pokes fun at other pop stars. His dry wit doesn't hide.
As I'm sure you are aware, flexi-discs aren't really known for their high audio quality, in fact quite the reverse. So I have never played these discs. If you intend to do so yourself, be sure to note that while they are all 7", they play at 33rpm. So I can't guarantee the audio play back quality, and in my opinion, these are collector's items and would be better off remaining treated as such. Especially as the original recordings can be found on the internet (a quick search is all it takes). You can hear them in perfect audio quality. No crackle, hiss, skips or jumps and no need to risk damaging your fragile flexi -discs. If however, you want to be able to hold a collection amassed with love over 5 years in the 1980s. This just might be for you.
There is one anomaly in the collection, which speaks of the hand-made nature of the fan club at the time, my copy of Boytalk No2 was posted out in the sleeve of No1, however, it does contain Disc 2.
If you gotta catch them all, they're all right here! CONDITION: Unplayed flexi-discs. As they were mailed-out exclusively to fan club members over a 5 year period in the 1980s, I won't make any assumptions about their audio playback quality. The covers are in reasonable condition for their age. The second disc arrived in a sleeve for disc 1. The cover has been marked with pen to indicate that it actually contains disc 2 (see pics).
