Description
It is amazing to realise that Weaver recorded as early as 1928 and here he is in fine form as late as 1949 in Atlanta supposedly with Blind Willie McTell on 2nd guitar -albeit undiscernable to my ears! That's all there is in the main - Weaver on vocal and strongly played guitar with no seeming loss of ability. He also recorded at a Regal session a month or so earlier. Wonderful country blues and SCARCE. Plays very well and sounds fine. (Note that the mark at the start of the photo of the small crack is not an edge flake but just a mark/stain on the shellac. The edge flake is in a separate location. The scuff mark is not a deep scratch although the photo tends to make it look like that). Although there are flaws as noted in my detailed condition description these do not detract from the overall playback but be aware. Given the scarcity though, this is still a very good playing copy and surely well worth consideration
