Description
"Soft Black Stars, Current 93's most haunting, personal and enduring album, was originally released on Durtro in 1998. It was recorded live in a small cottage in Ireland with David Tibet on vocals, Maja Elliott on piano, and Petr Vastl on ghost violin; Michael Cashmore and Steven Stapleton (Nurse With Wound) were also present, and it was mixed in Germany by Christoph Heemann. --- This Book printed in 2000 is a rare Limited Edition hand-printed Book by Alan Anderson of The Tragara Press for Durtro. It is signed and numbered by David Tibet. It is the Lyric Book for the `Soft Black Stars` album. It also contains the original lyrics to the album (there are minor differences between what is found here in the book and what David Tibet sang on the album). To this collection is added the text of a piece called `The Seahorse Rears To Oblivion` (a track that was originally planned for inclusion on Soft Black Stars). This Book is number #94 from #130 for sale (#160 were printed). It has 30 pages which is all hand printed on beautiful textured thick paper. Size: 25cm x 16.5cm. At the end of the Book is an afterword by David Tibet about the album, there is also a colour page in the opening of the book `Lazarus` which is an image of David Tibet`s artwork.
