CYBERNETIC SERENDIPITY MUSIC ICA 01 1968 The 1968 Cybernetic Serendipity exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London lives in popular legend as a seminal event in the history of computing and art. More than thirty years after the event, it has taken on legendary status. Enter the two magic words cybernetic AND serendipity into an Internet search engine and over 400 pages of text result including fascinated inquiries from wide eye young enthusiasts not born in 1968 and many web sites devoted to major figures some of them alas no longer with us. (Web sites often created by wide eyed young enthusiasts not themselves born in 1968). This record was made to celebrate and commemorate the cybernetic serendipty exhibiton held at the ica, london 1st of august to 20th oct 1968. this is rare computer music in its earliest stages of invention and includes seminal work from the following composers: cartridge music by john cage illiac suite by lejaren hille and leonard isaacson strategie by iannis xenakis bit music by haruki tsuchiya ...........and many more sought after experimental composers. this record is extremely rare and i have never come across any one else who owns a copy.
