Skank – Calango (1994) Calango is the second studio album by Brazilian band Skank, released in 1994. The album helped solidify the group's popularity in Brazil, blending reggae, rock, ska, and Brazilian rhythms. With hits like Jackie Tequila, Te Ver, and Pacato Cidadão, Calango showcased Skank’s signature upbeat and danceable style, driven by Samuel Rosa’s melodic vocals and catchy guitar riffs.
The album was a defining moment for the band's career, marking their transition from an independent reggae act to a mainstream Brazilian rock powerhouse. The mix of ska and pop-rock elements gave them a unique identity in the Brazilian music scene of the 90s.
