~ Cancon Vinyl Auctions ~ You are bidding on this Rare Canadian Soul 45 by Cane & Abel entitled " California Dreaming " b/w " Girl You Move Me" on GRT Records 1202-01, original Canadian pressing from 1968.
Very rare and obscure Canadian Soul 45 release by Cane & Abel that you won't find listed in your record guides.
A truly fantastic 45 A-Side that starts out in the classic deep soul tradition vocal track twist of the Mamas & Papas signature song track but then suddenly picks up into this amazing alternate and electrifying vocal lyric change up tracks like "I Want My Baby Back", I'm On My Way", I'm Gonna Find My Baby".
Total killer fast paced soul masterpiece at the mid point to the end unlike anything I have ever heard before...almost like Issac Hayes classic "Shaft" but incredibly more intense in lyrics.
The B-Side is a classic Funky Soul edged vocal masterpiece mixed in with a nice Motown sound like "The Temptations" with powerful horns and keyboard work.
This rare original release had a very small pressing run that was privately manufactured with the group members in conjunction with the rare GRT gold label as indicated on the 45 circled "MAPL" logo.
This exceptional 45 is truly worth adding to your existing Soul 45 collection.
An outstanding true near mint copy other than a small chart position number sticker on the B-Side label.
