Description
(Canoise) Zarathrustra-You’ve Got Your Troubles I’ve Got Mine (Audiodisc 7-inch acetate) VG++/VG+ plays clean.
1968 unreleased song cut at IGL studio in Milford Iowa. Band cut two earlier singles as the Canoise for the IGL and Sonic labels.
Note: Record has the same song cut on both sides but one version is cut much hotter while the other sides has some hiss on it. Acetate is fragile and has some flaking but the music plays fine.
Added bonus is that this acetate record will come with a black and white zerox copy of a promo letter dated Jan. 8, 1969 written to KISD Radio on IGL stationary by Denny Kintzi, who was one of the principals of IGL Recording Studio and a member of Dee Jay And The Runaways. He explains how the band changed their name to Zarathustra from The Canoise, and that the band will be performing on the ABC network show Happening ’68 on January 18th as a result of winning [their] 1968 IGL Roof Garden Jamboree battle of the bands. How cool is that! I’ve included a scan of it in the eBay listing so check it out.
Note: I recently picked up an astonishing once-in-a-lifetime stash of 175 clean Minnesota/Midwest ‘60s discs from a Duluth MN DJ who kept them in storage for 45 years. So for all you fans of 45s from the Twin Cities, Iron Range, and Tom Tourville’s enlightening books, be sure to check out my current eBay auction of regional 45s.
