Description
CAPTAIN BEEFHEART & HIS MAGIC BAND
STRICTLY PERSONAL
(UK LIBERTY, LBS 83172, 1968)
RARE FIRST UK STEREO PRESSING of Beefheart's perfectly trippy second album, a psych masterpiece! All first pressings are rare but the UK stereo is becoming very hard to find in decent shape now. Most UK pressings are watermarked (a pressing fault which occured where there is a ripple effect on the vinyl, sometimes causing surface noise) or are trashed when they do show up, but this is a lovely example with no watermarks! This one is in a mono sleeve unusually, I have found a few stereos with mono sleeves before, presumably more mono sleeves were made at the time. Great stuff! Don't miss out!
Vinyl is in EX condition : a few very light marks, plays great with minimal surface noise, lovely pressing!!
Gatefold sleeve is in EX condition : minimal wear, a few light handling creases, great shape overall!!
Run-out grooves :
SIDE 1 : LBS 83172 A//1 420 1 stamped
SIDE 2 : LBS 83172 B//1 420 stamped
