Captain Beefheart – Trout Mask Replica
Usa Stereo on Straight label (Sts- 1053 on both Cover AND labels) – 1969 – Double Album
This is the ULTRA-RARE ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING (The Catalog Number on the Cover (STS-1053) MATCHES the Catalog Number on the Labels. (The second pressing has STS-1053 on the cover,but 2MS-2027 on the labels).
The cover shows the inevitable ringwear (see scans), but truly one of the faintest I’ve seen in 30 years. Other than that is in great shape with minor shelf wear noted on the seams, and corners slightly worn. No cut-out holes, No writings. No stickers. Spine perfectly readable.
The 2 discs just shines.
The labels are clean, wear-free.
Barely played, if ever. Comes with the original booklet and with the original “Straight” inner sleeves (See scan). To cut a long story short: one the most beautiful copies I have ever seen.
