Caravan were among the leading bands of the Canterbury scene, creating a unique fusion of progressive rock, jazz influences and psychedelic sounds. Their music stood apart from heavier progressive acts through melodic songwriting and a more relaxed, distinctly English style. In The Land Of Grey And Pink is widely considered the band’s masterpiece and remains one of the most celebrated progressive albums of the early 1970s.
Record label
Deram Records was established by Decca as a home for innovative and progressive artists. During the late 1960s and early 1970s the label became associated with many influential progressive releases and remains highly collectible today among vinyl enthusiasts.
An excellent collector’s copy of one of progressive rock’s essential albums with attractive glossy vinyl and early matrices.
