Description
Two 12" LPs and 2 CDs in one lot.
1) Solo Veena 1973 Japanese edition of Barclay release.
Tranquil, slower veena playing, in contrast to the more usual rapid and aggressive
playing on most releases that have mridangam accompaniment.
Cover: VG++ Clean & crisp, some corner and spine wear and some yellowing on back cover.
LP: VG++ Shiny and nearly EX except a few surface marks. Plays perfectly, no skips.
2) Sangeeta Madras 1963 World Pacific Records.
Nice set of Carnatic music featuring Balachander on Veena and Ramani on flute (Venu).
Cover: Good+ Plenty of edge and corner wear and top is taped,but still fairly crisp and
not at all thrashed.
LP: VG+ Surface shows it has been played often, but has surprisingly little background
noise, only a few light crackles here and there. No skips, play perfectly.
3) CD by ML Vasanthakumari 2011 Sony India
Carnatic vocal interpretations of mostly North Indian ragas. Accompanied by violin, mridangam,
and kanjira.
CD: like new. Cover: EX very minor shelf wear.
4) Omkara CD 2001 Disques Dreyfus France.
Fusion album with a French violin player and French female singer, and a south Indian
drummer and veena player,
CD: like new Cover: EX very minor shelf wear.
