The following comes from the website for Carrl Myriad & The Ragged Band http://members.ozemail.com.au/~carrlmyriad/

Carrl Myriad started his early professional life playing the many coffee houses and other folk music venues in Melbourne. These venues included the now legendary Frank Traynor's where Carrl honed his guitar playing skills and started a journey of music exploration that continues to this day.

Among Carrl Myriad's many musical explorations he proudly includes the early duo, Carrl & Janie, who released the album "Of All The Wounded People", of which the single, "Last Saturday" was a noted hit at that time. Over the next few years, as with many musicians, Carrl explored a number of different electric music formats with his own band, Myriad, performing a fusion of folk-rock-country. Myriad performed regularly at the famous Station Hotel in Prahran, Victoria, along with such bands as The Dingoes and Saltbush. It was during this time that he featured on the "Live At the Station" album which is still a reference point for many musicians.
