Cat Stevens Rare “Buddha And The Chocolate Box” Side A Acetate Record Sterling

Sale is for an original pre-release Acetate Record of Cat Stevens  “Buddha And The Chocolate Box” Side One.

The album name is not on it, though the songs from side A are. Please note the sequence of songs is different then how they appear on the finished album. Also note the date on this record “1.22.74” (the 4 in 74 is hand written, the underlying typed number looks like a “3”), the original release date of “Buddha And The Chocolate Box” was March 19th, 1974..


~record is a metal core acetate, cut directly form the master recording. It has the Sterling Sound label, which did the mastering on this album .


This record is coming from the collector who purchased it in the 1970’s. We listened to it once, with a high grade phono cartridge. It sounds great. I am not sure if the content and mix are the  same as the finished released material. We are unable to do a direct comparison. Condition is great, some age related marks on label. Some dust and tiny marks on record when looking it over closely . I have not attempted to clean it. Two tiny nicks on underside of record that expose  metal.  Sleeve looks good, not sure if it is original..
