Brief description of item

This is Cat Stevens - Teaser & The Firecat ORIGINAL pink rimmed island release.

Comes from an on-going AMAZING storage collection of records that have remained as pristine as the first day of pressing. You simply will not find a better copy unless sealed today. 1971 release NOT a re-pressing of any kind.

These records have been cared for all of the years & hardly played. Stored until now out of any direct sunlight.

The labels are MINT untouched by spindle wear on both the -A- & -B- sides, inspected under extreme bright white light just to make sure. There is NOT even ONE mark...NOTHING, no spindle wear present these are the BEST possible labels, and indicate how the actual record has, had next to zero use.

The actual record itself defies belief...It has had about ONE play in its life. no wild party's or ever leaving its home in over 40 years plus. Inspected under bright light & the harshest of conditions, the record is immaculate. NOT EVEN ANY HAIRLINES...SPOTLESS AND A TRUE GEM. There are no signs of any use, no ingrained dust, no scratched marks, even still attracts dust particles, and still has static to the record. Take it from me, this and many of the other records that have sold from same the collection are THE BEST you will ever see offered. Unless SEALED from the day they were made. Even a sealed record would probably have some warping from the tight wrapping. After all... This is from over 4 decades in age. A heavyweight vinyl pressing here also - about 150 grams.

Its gated cover is prone to wear (I had another) this one has none of the usual problems you might find. Out of 100% the cover is 99.9% correct. No splitting of the side, no grubbiness, damp, wear or tearing, no handwritten names in ink or biro, no ring wear, no dust or smell, no dinks to the corners, super sharp edged cover, spine is flawless & without an ounce of wear..Perfectly legible text outside at the side and on the inside is immaculate. NOT ONE SINGLE MARK.

The side loader is without ANY fray or dinks, totally preserved the way it should be if offered. Vinyl is SPOTLESS & I mean spotless, even under bright light it gleams away like it just left the factory today, instead of over 40 years ago. When played it is SUPERB...

Test played by myself once again, before listing. As with some of these types of vinyl; from same the era you could still have a MINT appearance but not a mint audio. This has NO pops, distortion, crackle, has no warping of the disc & sits 100% flat. STUNNING audio & a stunning record..One definitely not to missed. The original dust inner is here, these would have the same common issue of general wear down to just the age. Has the catalogue number written in blue biro pen on one side from the original shop it was purchased from. I have placed the record itself inside a brand new plain white inner, (not pictured) this will also be included in the post. The record  is stored outside of the cover inside a poly protector. Awaiting a new caring home. Please scroll down to end of this description, then view the full item on offer in larger photographs.

Buy it now & be stunned, delighted & very, very pleased. Thanks for viewing & keep a watch for many more in the coming weeks.

All vinyl comes from a smoke, damp and pet free environment

>>  Grading of Items All items are graded conservatively according to Record Collectors Grading System Record Collectors Grading system

Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler

CD's and CASSETTES As a general rule CD's and Cassettes either play perfectly - inwhich case they are in Mint condition - or they don't, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD's are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves
