Description
Catapilla Self-titled LP, Vertigo Label Germany 1971
Extremely rare and sought after folk-prog psychedelic masterpiece with female vocals.
Catapilla was gathered in the lately 60's in the west London, with early members Malcolm Frith on drums, Dave Taylor on bass, Graham Wilson playing guitar and a wind section (Hugh Eaglestone, Robert Calvert, Thierry Rheinhart). Joe Meek was the first lead vocalist.
Black Sabbath manager Patrick Meehan produced band's first album, recorded with Anna Meek. Cover of Catapilla reminds Beatles' apple, but being eat by caterpillar. That resembles the idea of destroying the utopic perfection of british psychedelia and opposing self to mainstream psychedelic and progressive rock of that time.
The record comes in a nice foldout sleeve EX condition. The LP has some scratches but plays beautifully and I would grade it as VG++.
Shipping: Inside Europe 12 USD: Outside Europe 15 USD

Maybe it´s not German after all, I only supposed so because of a picture from another copy of this LP I found at internet.
