   Summary: DJ Kidd Rhythm (Positively 4th Street)  with the latest update to watch for regarding Cecil McBee’s Mutima. Mutima was only released in Stereo & not Mono in 1974. This is the USA full length original vinyl album release of Mutima (STRATA-EAST SES 7417) by jazz bassist Cecil McBee. If the BACK COVER of the album at the bottom contains the AFE logo (Audiofidelity Enterprises, Inc.  & says something like- US record company established in 1970 etc.…it is a reissue even though it contains the original catalog numbers on the outer jacket & was released the same year as the original,1974.

   Mutima was released on vinyl only and the 1st pressing original is identified by looking at the record label. On both sides (underneath the label logo) it states  -  STRATA-EAST   line underneath reads- (A Product Of Strata-East, INC., N.Y.C. 10010)

   As DJ Kidd Rhythm I started selling records in the late 70’s with Sneaky Pete (Peter Grendysa) & opened underground  Positively 4th Street below the Angelus Hotel in downtown Olympia across the street from 2 indie record producers Bruce Pavitt (Subterranean, music fanzine- SUB-POP, record label with Nirvana-Kurt Cobain) & Matthew "Montana Slim" Moon (Kill Rock Stars/Elliott Smith.) I created chaos on KAOS fm as Robbin Crook with the prison show entitled -2 o’clock count- as a former insider now on the outside after serving a 20 year maximum sentence with a 15 year mandatory minimum inside the concrete walls in the Washington State Penitentiary at Walla Walla. I was incarcerated for possessing a member of the cannabis family, Sativa. Greg Shaw of Who Put The Bomp (The Bomp, music fanzine) wrote & asked if this was the same Walla Walla where former King Record recording artist Little Willie John (Fever, Leave My Kitten Alone, All Around The World) was serving time. Yes it was I wrote back to Greg & Suzy. William Edward John died in the prison infirmary 5/26/68. Inside the music store Positively 4th Street there was an obituary door with a copy of the soul singer's birth & death certificate. (furnished by former Walla Walla Warden James Blodgett.) Jim also informed me that James Brown & Aretha Franklin were on his visiting list. I Also created the handle, DJ Kidd Rhythm. I hosted a weekly R&B & NW Rock radio show for 7 years.
