Description

From the collection of producer/photographer Don Schlitten comes this original deep groove RVG-stamped test pressing of Cecil Payne “Music of Charlie Parker” from Signal S1204.  The flat rim playing surface is in excellent condition but has no luster; plays crisp and clear throughout with minimal surface noise. The original laminated cover has tape stains on all seams, but the tape obviously was protective since the only split is a closed 1 ¼” break on the top seam, at the opening.  Personnel include Phil Woods, Duke Jordan, Wendell Marshall, and Art Taylor.  $100.00. Along with his work as art director and photographer, Schlitten was the owner of Signal and Xanadu records, as well as art director/photographer/producer for Prestige records.
