Description
Rare 7" from California hardcore legends CHAIN OF STRENGTH on Revelation Records released in 1988. One of the most influential and amazing hardcore bands of all time. OF ALL TIME. If you don't know CHAIN, where have you been? Quasi-straight edge hardcore band from California, releasing records on Foundation, Revelation, First Strike Records.
"What Holds Us Apart" is their second, more introspective release (on Foundation Records), featuring 4 songs of awesome melodic hardcore. Vinyl is in very good condition on both sides as is the artwork. One born (see photos) has a slight crease from some careless fool bending it. Also include with the original insert is the large poster that the label send out to make up for the delay in getting the records to people who'd ordered.
If you've only heard the remastered/ruined version that Revelation re-released on LP and CD you need to hear this one! Chris Bratton, the drummer, said he wasn't to happy with the mix on this as there's too much reverb and Curtis, the singer, loses his vocals in the mix. That's what makes this so much better - the vocals are fighting with the guitars to be heard.
This is the FIRST PRESS of this record - has the SIDE ALEX/SIDE PAIN labels. Only 500 were pressed - making this a nice rarity. Bid hard.

All records have been kept in plastic sleeves in a smoke free house. I've done my best to accurately describe the condition of the records - but if you've got questions, ask them before you bid.

If you're buying a rare hardcore record and it goes over £50 you'll have to pay for the Airsure/Special Delivery unless: a) I know you and you're legit, b) you want to collect the record in person at a HC show/Mongrel Fest, c) you have a ridiculously high eBay feedback score/someone I know vouches for you, d) you want the record punk posting from a HC show/Mongrel Fest. This is because neither of us wants to be disappointed, nor do we want important pieces of HC history to get damaged or disappear.
