Description

DB 4405

This record is now becoming extremely hard to find, in any condition. It's much rarer than his 'Hippy Hippy Shake'.

I don't tend to sell records that i grade as less than 'VG+', but this is an exception as it is extremely rare. I only originally bought it as a 'filler'. However, despite it's appearance, if you don't have a problem with light background noise then this is fine.

Using the 'R.R.P.G.' grading system i would put this as anywhere between 'Fair' & 'Good'. One thing i must stress is that this record plays through fine with no sticking or jumping whatsoever. I would never sell a record that doesn't play through properly, whatever it's value or rarity, because i don't see the point of owning such a record.

This particular record, without beating round the bush, has sadly not been cared for properly down the years (such a shame). Both sides of the vinyl are covered in scratches & scuffs, although, in fairness, none of these have any significant depth to them. In fact, though some of the scratches are quite large, they all appear to be relatively light, hence the reason why the record still plays through ok, i guess.

As far as sound quality is concerned, as mentioned, this record does not jump or stick (at least on my system). It plays with background noise pretty much throughout, but nothing serious. (I have heard much better looking records play a lot worse than this, honestly.) There are also a couple of light 'pops' at the end of the record.

Please note though, i have only play graded the 'A' side.

‘A’ side label - There are a couple of small tears, probably caused by centre not being removed very carefully (see pic). That aside, label remains in remarkably good condition with no rips, other tears or writing on. The silver text remains clear & bright.

‘B’ side label - Exactly as above.

Overall, because of the condition of the vinyl, i will only describe this record as being a 'filler'. Please bear in mind though, that the 'R.R.P.G.' regards a 'filler' as 'broken' or 'un-playable'. This record is nowhere near as bad as that, as it plays through fine.

For anyone unfamiliar with this song why not check it out on 'Youtube'.

This record will be sent with it’s relevant company sleeve. The sleeve may be good, it may be not so good, it may even be a ‘Repro’. Pot Luck's the name of the game as far as company sleeves are concerned

I have now had to put a postage charge of £1.50 for my records. This charge stays the same whether you were to buy 1, 2 or 3 of my records, I can put up to 3 singles in 1 mailer). It is 1st Class (and I obtain proof of postage). I am a collector, not a Dealer, so I am not out to make a fortune on my postal charges, just to give still decent records decent new homes where they will be appreciated.

All singles I sell are sent out in brand-new mailers. I have to pay for these, so anyone who thinks my postal charges are a little high, please bear this in mind. I make no money on postal charges whatsoever, and when you consider there are sellers on ebay who charge £4.00 to send a single 45 to a U.K. postal address, you may realize my charges are not so bad after all

If you are unhappy with any of the above information then please do not bid

Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out other singles i have for sale.
