Description

This is Mingus Records JWS 001/002, Charles Mingus At Monterey, a black label private mail order issue of this great recording. The records are in a strong VG+ condition showing some scratches on both sides but playing quietly with only occasional light background crackle in the quiet spots. The gate-fold cover has water damage which led to it being taped on the top and bottom seam. The labels are excellent with light spindle marks. The records were played on a Linn Sondek LP12 and cleaned on a VPI 17. If you can accept the cover damage, this is still a fine collector's grade copy of this beautiful recording.
