ORIGINAL UK MONO FIRST PRESSING

Here is an early Stereo pressing of Charles Mingus' Blues & Roots (London LTZ-K 15194) released during Mingus' late 50s pomp, with all-original compositions by Mingus and his band comprising several jazz heavy hitters, including Jackie McLean, Booker Ervin, Mal Waldron & Horace Parlan. I have fully play-tested the vinyl, so my grading is based on how the record actually sounds, as well as how it looks.
Vinyl is strong Very Good+, with crackle in the run-in but very little detectable noise during the music itself. London Atlantic labels denote a first Mono UK pressing, with some spindle marks but otherwise in good condition. Being a 1960 mono jazz pressing, it goes without saying that the audio is incredibly powerful and clear.
Original cover is strictly graded Very Good due to light ringwear and some age-related discolouring on the rear. It is structurally sound with no splits & fully intact spine.

Note that I separate the vinyl from the outer sleeve for postage to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me, and in the way I'd like to receive them.
